What the Work Involves
On a fence we check movement at the posts and connections to the rails. On a deck we look under the surface where access allows and check the house connection, stairs and rails. If an area cannot be inspected until boards are removed, we explain that limit before agreeing a final repair scope.
Deck & Fence Repair Service Details
We assess loose or damaged fence runs, posts, gates and deck components. Some jobs suit a limited repair, while others have enough deterioration that rebuilding a larger part is the more sensible discussion. We show you what we would keep and what condition it appears to be in.
What You Get
- Sound fixing points checked
- Repair options compared with remaining condition
Signs You Need This
- Fasteners pull loose in soft wood
- The gate opening has changed shape
- Multiple supports show deterioration
Loose Hardware and Soft Wood
Tightening a connection is useful only if the material receiving the fastener is sound. We check that before adding hardware. If the wood around a hinge or rail fixing has deteriorated, another screw in the same soft area can feel tight briefly and then pull loose again. The repair needs to reach material that can carry the load.Looking Beyond One Bad Post
If one post has gone soft at the base, we look at the adjacent posts too. It doesn’t mean the whole fence must be replaced, but it helps you understand the condition of what stays. We can discuss a staged repair where practical, with the limits made clear rather than describing one new post as a new fence. While You're Waiting for the Visit
Keep people away from a deck rail, stair or section that feels unsafe. You don’t need to pull on it or walk over it to show us how far it moves. A photograph taken from a stable spot and a description of what you noticed are enough to begin. We arrange an inspection before promising what the repair will involve.Pricing guidanceHow Deck & Fence Repair Is Priced in Bowling Green, OH
The estimate includes the access needed to reach the failed part, not only the replacement piece. Material matching can be another issue on an older structure. A similar board or panel may fit differently or weather to a different color, so we discuss what you should expect before you decide how much of the fence or deck to repair.
